What is an EPC?
An EPC (energy performance certificate) is a guide which shows how efficiently a home uses energy, the cost of running a home and recommendations on how to improve the energy efficiency of the property.
Why do I need an EPC?
It is a legal requirement to have an EPC when selling your home. If you do require an EPC then we can get this sorted, but it's worth checking the register first to see if you have one - they are valid for 10 years!
What does my EPC rating mean?
The certificate rates efficiency on a scale of A to G. Houses performing at an A are the most efficient (and cheapest to run) and those on G the least (and most expensive).
What happens in an EPC inspection?
The EPC grading for a property is awarded following an inspection of appliances, the heating system, windows and walls by an assessor.
